ANSWERS

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MARIJUANA & HEMP?

Marijuana and Hemp are two popular names for the plant, Cannabis Sativa. The largest indicators on what type of product you have are: Cannabinoid Content, Legal Status, and Psychoactive Effects.

HEMP :

Cannabinoid Content : Contains less than 0.3 % THC

Legal Status : Legal to possess and consume certified hemp products in all 50 states. See a map here.

Effects : High CBD Hemp products are the most popular type of therapy for children and critically ill patients because it does not have the notorious "high" associated with marijuana products.

MARIJUANA :

Cannabinoid Content : Contains more than 0.3 % THC

Legal Status : Currently only legal in some states.  See a map of legal states here.

Effects : Medical Marijuana products are the most popular type of therapy for people 18+ who need pain relief, appetite stimulation, stress relief and other beneficial effects created by the classic "high" that comes from THC. It is illegal for any one under 21 to get marijuana products without a doctor's prescription in most medical states.

IS CBD FROM MARIJUANA MORE POTENT THAN CBD FROM HEMP?

Potency all depends on the actual extraction process! Some extraction methods degrade the cannabinoids a lot while others degrade them less.

WHAT ARE CANNABINOIDS AND HOW DO THEY WORK?

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds excreted by the cannabis plant. There are 85 different kinds of cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. Today the two most popular molecules being explored for their therapeutic effects are THC & CBD.

How do they work? Well, in a nutshell... The human body creates its own cannabinoids which is why humans are able to benefit from the use of this plant. Cannabinoids found in Cannabis Sativa activate CB1 & CB2 receptors in the brain and body to help regulate some of the body's most critical, life sustaining functions.

CBD

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a highly therapeutic cannabinoid that activates CB1 & CB2 receptors and is a popular supplemental choice for children and adults with seizures, autism, cancer and more.

THC

Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is another highly therapeutic cannabinoid that activates CB1 & CB2 receptors. THC also produces the classic "high" effects associated with medical marijuana. Must have doctor's note for 21 & under.

See the U.S Department of Health Patent on Cannabinoids here : US Patent No. 6630507

WHAT IS CANNABIDIOL?

Cannabidiol (CBD), is a cannabis compound that has significant medical benefits. CBD is non-psychoactive compound inherent to the Cannabis Sativa L plant (hemp). The tide has turned as we are now seeing a vast increase in scientific and clinical research, much of it is being completed through and by the US government. These studies are highlighting CBD’s potential as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including arthritis, diabetes, alcoholism, MS, chronic pain, schizophrenia, PTSD, depression, antibiotic-resistant infections, epilepsy, and other neurological disorders. CBD has demonstrable neuroprotective and neurogenic effects, and its anti-cancer properties are currently being investigated at several academic research centers in the United States and elsewhere.

WILL CBD GET ME HIGH OR MAKE ME FEEL GOOFY?

Do Verdant products have THC? Will I get goofy, or high, by using them? Nope! Absolutely not! These are pretty common questions from a wide demographic of people who are interested in exploring hemp products for the first time. We are happy to tell you that our hemp beauty products have no THC and zero psychoactive effects. We only use organic industrial hemp that contains less than the required .3% THC limit by law.

WILL I FAIL A DRUG TEST IF I TAKE CBD PRODUCTS?

All of our products have 0% THC. Most urinalysis test for THC and/or the metabolite THC-COOH. However, it’s important to be cognizant that extremely high doses of other CBD products may result in a positive urine screen (that would be subsequently shown to be false via GC/MS). We suggest all consumers to be fully informed of the specific regulations posed by their employers and adjust their consumption of cannabinoid products accordingly.

WHAT IS HEMP CBD EXTRACT?

Hemp CBD Extract is a term used to describe CBD rich extract from a cannabis plant classified as hemp.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DOSE?

We recommend starting out with 10-50 mg of CBD a day. If you do not achieve the desired results within 1 hour take another 50 mg. However, each product contains the recommended dosage on the label and online in the product description.

WHERE DOES VERDANT GET ITS CBD FROM?

We source our hemp from one of the leading, certified industrial hemp product importers in America. All of our products are made from NON-GMO, PESTICIDE FREE, Industrial Hemp that is grown outdoors under natural sunlight with organic practices. These claims have not been evaluated or certified by the USDA.

IS CBD LEGAL IN MY STATE?

Industrial hemp is legal to import and ship across state lines and process into various products, including our CBD oils and products, so long as they contain less than 0.3% delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol..

DO VERDANT PRODUCTS CONTAIN THC?
